Mustafa Suiçmez / Çanakkale, Aug 31 () - In Aegean province of Çanakkale, as Turkey celebrates the August 30 Victory Day, 530 athletes including four Paralympic swimmers have swam through the Dardanelles.
Within the 29th “Swimming the Dardanelles Competition” organized by Çanakkale Rotary Club this year hosted 193 foreigner athlethes from 21 countries among the 530 athletes.
Asilay Selçuk, 18-year-old swimmer was declared the winner of the race having finished the raceway of 3.5 miles, in 45 minutes 32 seconds.
