Istanbul, Sep 9 () - Since the beginning of 2015, around 59 foreigner pilots among 700 tenured by the Turkish Airlines have resigned from the company.

Most of the foreigner pilots in Turkish Airlines have been receiving their salaries in Turkish Lira and facing a revenue loss due to rise of dollar by 25 percent in the last year, sources reported, adding that those pilots have resigned and started to work for Katar Airlines that pays salaries on dollar basis.

Turkish Airlines that had been working with more than 700 foreigner pilots have made the decision to boost foreigners in its flying unit, after the crash in Amsterdam.

Recently, the airlines company has launched a recruitment in Moscow in Russia, too.

It is expected that Turkish Airlines would make further selections in many other countries for recruiting foreigner pilots in a short time, in order to fill the gap.
