Ankara, Sep 8 () - The U.S. Embassy in Turkey’s Ankara made a statement and said “We condemn the violent attack against daily Hürriyet. Freedom of press is the core principle of democratic societies.”
Pro-Justice and Development Party (AKP) protesters have organized a violent attack on the office building of Hürriyet late on Sunday Sep. 6, sparking an outrage by political figures, press associations and right organizations.
