Istanbul, July 19 () - Nation-wide road accidents have marked this year’s holiday of Eid-al-Fitr, despite the extra measures that had been taken.

Including the first two days before the holiday that had begun on July 17,  66 people died and 336 were injured over the four days .
 
While most people accross Turkey had hit the road on July 16 afternoon, mostly for heading into Aegean and southern resort provinces, the dramatic number of people killed or injured across Turkey were reported as follows:
 
Sixteen people were killed and 145 were injured in seventeen different crashes, on Wednesday July 15.

On Thursday July 16, the eve of Eid-al-Fitr, 21 accidents killed 23 people and 76 people were injured.

In 18 different accidents, 16 were killed and 55 were injured, on the first day of Eid holiday, Friday July 17.

On the second day of holiday, Saturday July 18, twelve incidents that had occured by around 21.30 killed twelve people while 61 were injured.
